While 2026 marks the United States’ semiquincentennial, the spotlight is on Chicago as the global host for this world-class musical event. We invite our alumni, students, and scholars to experience the power of jazz as a tool for international diplomacy and cultural unity in the heart of our beautiful city.

We will experience four special performances that bridge continents: the soulful vocals of Czech artist Martina Bárta, the innovative compositions of Swiss-born Sam Mösching Quartet, the technical mastery of Polish pianist Artur Dutkiewicz Trio, and the high-energy, infectious rhythms of the Chicago Samba musical ensemble.
